Ra Ma Da Sa, Sa Say So Hung is the mantra for the sacred healing meditation first taught in the Summer of 1973. This healing meditation is used to pray for healing energy for our friends, family, and ourselves.
This mantra taps into the energies of the sun, moon, earth, and the Infinite Spirit to bring deep healing. It is important to pull the navel point powerfully on the first Sa and on Hung. Note that the word Hung is not long and drawn out. Rather, it is clipped off forcefully as you pull in the navel. Chant one complete cycle of the entire mantra with each breath. Then deeply inhale and repeat. Remember to move the mouth precisely with each sound. Try to feel the resonance in the mouth and in the sinus area.
To End: To end the meditation, inhale deeply and hold the breath, as you offer a healing prayer. Visualize the person you wish to heal as being totally healthy, radiant, and strong. See the person completely engulfed in a healing white light and completely healed. Then exhale and inhale deeply again, hold the breath, and offer the same prayer again. Exhale.

I first led this meditation with a group of eleven students for Yogi Bhajan at a Winter Solstice Celebration in the early 1980's. We wanted to give back to him for all that we were receiving from him. Later this meditation was done as part of the routine of every White Tantric Meditation Course around the world, to send healing energy to Yogi Bhajan. It was the meditation that he requested when he needed our healing prayers.
I remember when I first learned this meditation in the late 70's when I was living in Boston. I did it when I started to feel like the flu was coming on. To my amazement the sick symptoms disappeared. This has become one of my favorite meditations ever since. I did it every evening before dinner for almost 20 years. I dedicated the healing vibration to healing the Earth and anyone else in need at the time, and above all to Yogi Bhajan in gratitude for sharing the life-changing technology of Kundalini Yoga with me and with the world.
Repeat the above process 3 or more times with the following variations: Inhale deeply and hold the breath. Feel the healing love pulse in your heart. Invite in friends, members of your family and situations and allow them to be bathed in the healing vibration. Hold them in your body, in your heart and in the healing vibration that you now resonate with and embody. Inhale deeply and hold the breath again. Feel that your heart is so big and the love so infinite that you can hold the whole earth in your heart. Let the earth pulse with the mantra and be healed with this love. Inhale deeply and hold the breath for a last time. Invite Yogi Bhajan, the Dalai Lama, Guru Ram Das, Christ, Krishna, Mother Mary, or any other elevated being into your heart. Be very attentive and feel deeply.
Another thing to do is to feel the Sun or a golden light in you heart: Chanting RA creates this energy. Expand it to fill every cell of your body. Then merge with the group's light if you are doing this with in a group. Feel the light expanding to radiate through the room, the vicinity, the area, country and then the whole earth. See/feel the earth healed. See/feel the hearts of every person penetrated with love and peace. Merge everything into Universal Light. As you come back, i.e. focus only on yourself, know that you can maintain this healing energy and light in your being. Intend that simply by smiling and greeting others, you share this love and light with the world.
This is a great exercise to do after healing mediation because it creates some great sensations that you just want to keep feeling. The more we feel the pleasurable sensations, the more we identify with them. The more we love what we feel, the easier it is to stay in this space. This is the foundation for self-love. We can actually feel we are love and we love it.
Certain mantras are to be cherished like a beautiful gem. The Siri Gaitri Mantra is just such a jewel. It is unique, and it captures the radiant healing energy of the Cosmos as a gem captures the light of the Sun. Like a gem, it can be put into many settings for different purposes and occasions.
When this technology was first shared there was given a series of meditations that use the inner dynamics of this mantra. If you master any of these practices you will be rewarded with healing and awareness. The mantra is also a Sushumna Mantra. It has eight sounds that stimulate the kundalini to flow in the central channel of the spine and in the chakras, accompanies by metabolic adjustment to the new level of energy in the body, and balances the five zones of the left and right hemispheres of the brain to activate the Neutral Mind. The mantra uses a sound current. The sounds create a juxtaposition of energies.
To End: Inhale deeply and hold the breath as you offer a healing prayer, visualizing the person you wish to heal (including yourself) as being healthy, radiant, and strong. Imagine the person completely engulfed in healing white light, completely healed. Then exhale and inhale deeply again, hold the breath and offer your prayer. Then, lift your arms up high and vigorously shake out your hands and fingers. Then exhale and inhale deeply again, hold the breath, and offer the same prayer again. Exhale.

These setbacks not only fueled her drive to heal herself, but also to alleviate suffering endured by humans across the planet.
